The Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus performed on Saturday, May 21 for the Second Annual Harvey Milk Celebration at Raymond Cree Middle School. Students from the school shared papers they wrote on the impact of Harvey Milk’s legacy. The school’s multipurpose room was decorated in rainbow balloons. Student-created displays on the walls described the lives of famous LGBT individuals. “Applause”, Raymond Cree Middle School Choir under the direction of Jeffrey Kopasz, performed several songs. The program ended with the Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus and Ryamond Cree “Applause” performing Greg Gilpin’s “Why We Sing”.
